Chocolate Bark with dried fruit

Can you ever eat too much good chocolate? Never! Well, at least that’s my philosophy...

Laurel V. SloanI’ve always been passionate about fine chocolate, dating back to my teenage days in Minneapolis when I had my dream job, working after school in a chocolate shop. As the years went on, I began making my own candy; and soon, family and friends were begging for my homemade fudge and chocolates.

Finally, with more and more people asking for my chocolates, I realized that it was time to transform my hobby into a business. After personally creating dozens of gourmet recipes, crafting a unique packaging look — and with the support of my husband and “Truffle Tipper,” Ken - I opened Laurel V’s Fine Chocolates in 2001. I handcraft all of my chocolates in my small, state-licensed candy shop, custom-built by my husband Ken and located in the scenic north woods of Wisconsin.
